The Met Gala through the Years

One of my favorite times of the year is when the theme for the upcoming Met Gala is announced. This years theme is Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. For those of you who may not be familiar with Karl Lagerfeld, he is the creative mastermind behind the French fashion house, Chanel. Lagerfeld was also helped as a creative director of Fendi. I have studied his work for some time and have enjoyed watching his creativity grow, up until his passing in 2019. On May 1, 2023 you can expect to find me glued to my computer watching the Met Gala livestream through Vogue.

Since May will be here before we know it, I thought it would be fun to take a look at what the Met Gala has looked like through the years, along with the fun themes that strike peoples attention year after year.
